APPEARANCE:Despite what her mother will claim, Constanza's looks are all her father's side of the family. Except for her eye color and height which can be attributed to the Caruso side of the family, Constanza and her brother are almost carbon copies of their dad. Without makeup, she has a
youthful looking face with large green eyes and pale skin covered in freckles and moles on her face and body. Her hair is naturally dark and kept short in a blunt bob with bangs, though occasionally she'll allow it to grow out some.
Stylewise she takes inspiration from a lot of places, from films like The Craft, Heathers, Empire Records, The Doom Generation, and Cruel Intentions, to 90s music videos. It's a mixture of grunge, punk, and goth and probably a lot older than a girl of 17 should be dressing. Most of her wardrobe consists of dark colors with the occasional plaid and striped piece. She's not that tall so she favors boots and shoes with heels, she tends to buy multiple pairs of shoes in the same style and claims that the different colors or designs make it worth it. To appear older she likes to dress as provocatively as she can get away with, she enjoys pushing buttons and her clothes and makeup are just another part of that. The only times that she dresses somewhat normally is when she's either at practice or playing a game and even then her shorts might be a tad too short. She's fond of tattoos and already has four of them, one on her sternum, one on the nape of her neck, and two on her right arm. She also has her lobes pierced as well as her septum.

INSPO: Pinboard What would others say is their most prominent personality trait — what's the first thing people notice about them?Constanza is a loudmouth. She’s rude and outspoken and says what’s on her mind and even if her voice isn’t actually loud, she somehow manages to make sure that everyone hears her. She rarely speaks without slipping in an expletive or two, something she picked up from her family. She’s been mistakenly described as being carefree or laid back but that’s all wrong. She’s actually quite careless and reckless and unapologetically self-destructive and that often comes out as being a fun-loving good-time havin’ girl.
How would this character describe themself? What do they think are their best and worst qualities?
Constanza wouldn’t hesitate to call herself an asshole or a piece of shit. She’s not the type of person who’s down on herself, but she knows she’s a mess and doesn’t see the point in hiding it. She doesn’t have time for self-loathing or being introspective nor is she interested in it. Does she fucking look like Morrissey to you? She’d probably say that her honesty and straightforwardness, as well as her willingness to try anything, are her best qualities, and her selfishness, contrary nature and need to push buttons are her worst. And then she’d pipe in that her chainsmoking and apathy about nature and the environment probably count as shitty qualities too.
What drives them to action? Doing good? Getting rich? Receiving praise?Constanza’s after a good time all of the time. She’s not going to be here forever so she doesn’t see much of a point in holding back. And that’s how she managed to get kicked out of school, everybody. She’ll try almost anything once to ensure that she doesn’t miss out on something really good or that she might like. She’s not an ambitious or motivated person, she doesn’t make resolutions or have goals that she wants to achieve and if she does manage to do something great then it’ll probably be an accident.
What is this character's greatest fear?Constanza fears boredom and monotony and the idea of waking up one day and realizing that she didn’t live her life. She’s afraid of becoming the sort of person who’s so afraid of the risks that they don’t do anything with themselves. She doesn’t want to grow up to become someone who settles for the whole white picket fence three kids and a dog lifestyle, she especially doesn’t want to be someone who ENJOYS settling. Not that she doesn’t want a husband or kid but she doesn’t want to do it just because it seems like it’s the only thing that makes sense and not because it’s what she truly wants.
What are their opinions on rules? How do they interact with authority figures? Rules are meant to be broken. Sure there are a few important ones that should remain in place, like guidelines on how to not be a complete degenerate. But for the most part, there are a lot of stupid, fussy rules that might have made sense when they were written but are just silly now. So she picks and chooses which rules she follows and makes sure she’s careful when she doesn’t want to get caught. She’s mostly fine with authority figures as long as they don’t give her a reason not to be. She might poke a bit at the teachers or her parents, but she rarely does it maliciously. Mostly because she enjoys seeing just how far she can push before someone loses their shit.

Do muggle things seem alien?She’s decent with magic but grew up in a muggle neighborhood so she became more comfortable with the muggle way of life. She’s good at charms and somewhat decent at transfiguration and defense against the dark arts, though she’d probably fail Min’s class if she had to take it. She mainly uses magic for things she doesn’t want to do the mundane way, like changing her appearance or finding lost items. But for things like cooking she prefers to do it the mundane way.

HOBBIES: Drawing, photography, sleeping late, smoking, filling her instagram page with photos that are almost too indecent for public, pissing off her mom, flying, reading, hanging out with her brother, going to gigs, body modification, being contrary.
SKILLS:DANCE: Constanza studied dance with a focus on ballet from the ages of 5-16 and hated every minute of it. She still does the warm ups and exercises but no longer practices ballet, instead she uses the exercises to warm up for quidditch and quodpot.
ART: Though she enjoys all mediums, she prefers to work with photography and painting. She's worked around cameras her whole life, mostly in front of them, but there are a few things that her mom has taught her over the years. Photography is one of the reasons why she's so keen on taking Aesthetic Magic and why she suffers through Potions. She has her own camera that her mom gave her for one of her birthdays and likes to develop her own film when she can.
FLYING: For someone who didn't get to spend much time on a broom their formative years Constanza is surprisingly good at flying. She's nimble and quick and can keep good control over her broom and speed. Her dad likes to joke that she's the next big quidditch/quodpot star.
ATHLETIC: Though her athleticism used to be primarily focused on dance, Constanza has recently found out in the past few years that she's actually quite good at sports other than dancing. She has good stamina, excellent reflexes, and can be quick when properly motivated. She also doesn't mind getting sweaty or dirty either.
FORGERY: She started learning how to mimic signatures out of boredom when she was younger. Eventually, it became a necessary skill for when she and her brother needed things signed and Benny wasn't around. She's good enough that all she needs is to study a signature for a few seconds before being able to get it down perfectly.
COOKING: Her nonna taught her and her brother how to cook but Constanza was the one who stuck with it.
FAMILY:MOM: Benedetta Caruso, halfblood, former Thunderbird, photographer. Constanza calls her Benny. Their relationship can be described as rocky at best, a fucking disaster at worst. Benedetta isn't the ideal mother and actually rather dislikes being a parent. She has ideas of what her children should look and act like and they both enjoy doing their best to be and act the exact opposite of those ideas.
DAD: Ezra Gideon Wolff, muggleborn, former Wampus, Elflock Falls PD, former United States Marine. Ezra tries to be there for his children but Constanza has never really been interested in having much of a relationship with her father. That doesn't stop him from trying though and he often tries to be supportive of her and will attend all of her games and school functions. Which is weird but whatever.
BROTHER: Luca Wolff. 14. Thorntrail freshman. Despite being a stereotypical little brother, Luca is one of Constanza's favorite people. She's always looked after him and tried to protect him, but it became more intense after their parents' divorce. Though they'd moved in with their mom, Constanza still had to step up and take over caring for Luca. She'll always look out for him and has taken the blame for some of the stupidest shit that he's done, but she'd not only help him hide a body but also take the blame for it if she had to.
DOG: Mia. Her dad's dog and the real baby of the family.
BACKGROUND:Sometimes people think they want things. Benedetta thought she loved Ezra and that she wanted to get married and be a stay at home mother. But after the first child didn’t turn out how she wanted, she thought that the second would make up for it. And when that one turned out to be just as bad, she knew that motherhood wasn’t for her. Neither was stay at home motherhood, it turned out.
Things were fine for a few years, mostly because Benedetta and Ezra rarely saw one another and Benny could always push the kids off on her family. But once Ezra started talking about leaving the military and maybe packing up the family and moving out of the city Benny knew she had to take steps to prevent that. So when Constanza was nine her mother filed divorce papers, and when she was ten her parents were not so amicably divorced. The kids stayed in New York, moving with their mother into a nicer and bigger place in Brooklyn while Ezra moved to a magical town in West Virginia called Elflock Falls and took up a job at the local Police Department.
Life went on. It was almost as if things were the same, what with their father not having been around much, to begin with. The kids attended a local school for magical children and were each trouble in their own ways. Constanza had never been a fan of school, despite loving to read and learn about history. But everything else was balls and she preferred to doodle in her notebooks or read random books rather than pay attention in class.
To add insult to injury Constanza had been forced to take dance lessons from the age of five. She wasn’t a fan of dance, she actually really hated it and would have preferred to play quodpot or quidditch instead. But Benny insisted on dance and so Constanza had no choice but to stick with it. Another thing that her mother insisted on and that Constanza didn’t mind doing was modeling. Benny may not have liked being a mother but she never missed an opportunity to brag about how beautiful the children she made turned out to be. So both Constanza and her brother were child models, and then as they grew into pre-teens and teenagers they became teen models. And while her brother hated it and constantly begged to quit until their mom let them, Constanza had fun playing dress-up and pretending to be different characters. The fact that they got free stuff just made it all even better.
Constanza’s teen years were volatile and chaotic. Especially when it came to her relationship with her mom. She started to test Benny’s limits more and wanted to become more independent from her mother, which was something her mom was not okay with. When Constanza was home from school her mother usually spent the majority of her time away and when she was home Constanza would go out of her way to be as non-subtly, subtly antagonistic as possible. The only time they were able to get along was when they were working together but by then Constanza had started to work with other photographers.
Despite being a pretty shit student Constanza managed to get accepted into an elite private Magical school outside of Beacon, New York, though that probably had more to do with the amount of dragots in her mom’s vault than anything else. Going to an actual magic school and learning actual magic managed to keep her attention well enough that she didn’t fail after only her first year. Her life became a routine after that, school was a reprieve from home and working with her mom, and she was able to let loose and do what she wanted to do. She did what school work she could and for everything else she would pay someone to give her the answers or do the work for her. She partied with her friends and got into trouble, though they were lucky enough to avoid getting into serious trouble. Except when they finally got caught at the end of her sophomore year sneaking back onto campus visibly under the influence. The school could no longer give her or her friends any more chances and they were told that after the end of the year, none of them would be welcome back.
Understandably Benedetta flipped her shit. She grounded Constanza (which she didn’t listen to) and went into damage control mode to make sure that her reputation wasn’t completely ruined. Thus started the summer from Hell. A few weeks into summer break her little brother brought home a baby jarvey after being told that he couldn’t by their mom. Constanza was kind of annoyed by it but didn’t give it much thought. Until Benny came home and flipped out once she noticed the animal. Not wanting her little brother to get into trouble Constanza stepped up and claimed the jarvey as hers. This was strike two. Once she was no longer officially grounded she decided to celebrate with a change to her look. Taking inspiration from a few of her favorite film characters she cut her hair in a short bob with bangs in a look she’d never had before. And though the hair could have been grown back and fixed, there was no fixing the tattoo that Constanza had decided to have done in a visible area below her collarbone.
This was strike three.
Benedetta hated tattoos. She thought they were trashy and idiotic and had once forbidden her ex-husband to get one. Constanza for once didn’t do something to piss her mother off. She did it for herself and if it happened to make her mother angry then that was an added bonus. But Benedetta had a specific look in mind for her daughter and Constanza had just ruined that look. Once again her daughter had ruined things and this time Benny had had enough. After getting in touch with Ezra plans were set in motion to have Constanza sent to live with her father in Elflock Falls, West Virginia, and though initially it was only supposed to be her unruly daughter who was sent away, Benedetta couldn’t agree fast enough when her youngest asked to move, too.
Constanza didn’t take well to the new town or her new life. She was staunchly against spending too much time in the ‘great’ outdoors (name one wooded area that isn’t dangerous. She’ll wait.), the internet and cell service in West Virginia was shit, there were no good bagel places, and none of her friends were there. Her dad’s place wasn’t as big as her mom’s and he was always trying to talk to her and make a ‘connection’. Not to mention that she would have to go to school in a place that was like a giant summer camp. She didn’t have high hopes for her junior year and didn’t really put any effort into her classes, they were all pretty easy anyway. She was sorted into Mothgarden and despite all of the nature she thought that the school was rather pretty. Her first happy moment came when she realized that she didn’t have to practice dance anymore and could actually try out for the quidditch and quodpot teams now. She managed to make the quidditch team as a chaser and made the JV quodpot team as a sparrow. Despite her initial reservations about the school, she’s been pretty happy with it so far.

FAMILIAR: A jarvey she named Dickhead (sometimes called DH). Her brother was actually the original owner, 'adopting' the animal against their mother's orders and trying to hide it in the house. When their mom found out she flipped her lid but Constanza stepped up and claimed the jarvey was hers. Rather than argue with her eldest child, Benedetta, ordered her to keep it in her room and keep a close eye on it, before leaving the house in a frustrated huff.
Constanza has slowly started to come around to the animal and doesn't dislike DH as much as she used to. Dickhead only really likes her and her brother and mostly tolerates everyone else. She takes him around the school grounds often to feed on fresh food and be with nature or whatever. She also enjoys teaching him to say rude shit to people and at inappropriate times. It's like a toddler but fun. Now that her little brother is attending Peckenpaugh the two of them share custody of DH and he can often be found over in Thorntrail as well.
CAREER GOALS: Basically this. There are things she's good at and likes doing, like art and photography and modeling and flying. But she considers those things to be hobbies and isn't really passionate about them, not passionate enough to pursue them as lifelong jobs, anyway. She doesn't know what she wants to do and is mainly here to have a good time and enjoy life.
PART-TIME JOB: She does sorting intake at Spellunking. Some of the stuff they get is pretty interesting and Kyle is a pretty chill boss.
CLASSES:CHARMS: A class that's useful and fun? Sign her the fuck up.
ARTIFICING: Fun and useful and interesting! She enjoys being able to work with her hands and the lack of tests.
POTIONS: Fuck potions. Aesthetic Magic and the opportunity to look at Berzelius are the only reasons she still takes it.
AESTHETIC MAGIC: This is Constanza's favorite class and the only one that's advanced study. She enjoys being able to ignore everything else and just focus on creating something for awhile. She doesn't care what medium she works in, just let her make something.
WIZARD LITERATURE: Constanza loves reading, but prefers Muggle works over Wizard. Part of this is because she hasn't been exposed to much Wizarding literature, hence signing up for this class. She tends to skip more of the writing intensive homework and classwork, but is decent with the quizzes.
